My fitness journey began four years ago, at age 45, after I suffered a back injury. I was in terrible shape and couldn’t even lift my young children. During a physical therapy session, my therapist told me that if I lost 15-20 pounds and strengthened my core, I would eliminate my back issues. Motivated by this advice, I set out to get fit, not just for myself, but also for my family. I started with a few pushups and a lot of walking.
As I began to feel better and received clearance from my doctor, I decided to take my fitness to the next level and joined a group fitness class led by Mark. Since joining Mark and his team of coaches, my fitness has improved dramatically. I now make it a priority to work out five days a week, challenging my strength, cardio, and endurance. I’m in better shape than I have been since high school, if not ever. I no longer experience back pain and have abandoned my inhaler.
Working out with Chemical ensures that my workouts are always varied, and I have a fantastic community of coaches and workout partners who push me while providing guidance on form to prevent injury. I’m now focused on lifting heavier weights and pushing myself harder in cardiovascular work. My goal is to become fitter and stronger every day and every year, and Chemical Fitness is the best path for me.
